Funder Partnership Program
Funders for Birth Justice and Equity is a collective formally launched in 2021. To date more than 200 funders, philanthropic advisors, and representatives of state and federal government are connected to FBJE to learn, connect, and grow their impact.
As a Member, you will find an active community of funders seeking knowledge and practical solutions to the complex, intersectional issue of birth justice. You will learn from monthly forums, in person gatherings, and reports. You will engage with leaders of the movement and community-based organizations that have found solutions. And you will find like-minded funders working within their institutions and their communities.
Why should you become a Partner?
Funder Partners gain:
- Access to the funder-only section of the FBJE website, including recordings and slides from webinars and Monthly Learning Series, and forums for funder conversations, collaborations, and connection;
- Bi-annual check ins with FBJE staff to support funder capacity;
- Opt-in directory for all funders affiliated with FBJE;
- Funder name and logo on FBJE’s website (if desired);
- Partner discounts on meeting or presentation fees; and
- Early notice and registration to FBJE events.
Funder Partner Eligibility and Fee
Foundations, individual donors and other grantmaking organizations may join Funders for Birth Justice and Equity if they support our vision and work.
Since few funders currently support a dedicated Birth Justice portfolio, FBJE recommends selecting your partner fee level based on the total funding you direct toward aligned and complementary areas—such as birth justice, maternal health, infant mortality, early childhood, reproductive health and justice, health equity, and related priorities.
