Event Description
Join us for our final Monthly Learning Series before the 2026 FBJE Summit. Jennie Riley, Executive Director of the Rx Foundation, will join us to share insights from their new report, Signals from the Field. Drawing from nearly 700 organizations that applied to Rx Foundation’s 2025 Building Capacity for Health Advocacy grant program, the report offers a powerful look at what nonprofit organizations across the country are naming, building, and needing in this moment.
The session will explore what these signals tell us about the conditions shaping community-based organizations and the role philanthropy can play in strengthening the infrastructure needed for health and birth justice work to endure. Together, we’ll examine growing demand for capacity-building support, persistent staffing and resource challenges, the critical role of BIPOC-led organizations, and the importance of trust, transparency, and stronger funder–field relationships.
As a precursor to our October Summit, this conversation will help us begin asking a larger question: What is the field telling us about what it needs to last—and what will it require of philanthropy to respond? The insights from Signals from the Field will help ground our collective thinking about sustainability, infrastructure, shared strategy, and the investments necessary to build a stronger birth justice ecosystem.
